Husband and wife Pete and Maura Kennedy have spent more than two decades traveling across the U.S. and the U.K. to share their broad musical landscape. They are also known as the hosts of the late Dharma Cafe program on Sirius Satellite Radio.

Originally based in Austin, Texas, The Kennedys started as members of Nanci Griffith’s Blue Moon Orchestra. They spent a few years in Washington D.C. before they relocated and settled in the East Village of New York City, citing both Buddy Holly and The Everly Brothers as their primary musical influences.

The Kennedys have released a total of 14 duo albums and six side projects, all of which they say have been inspired by their life on the road and time spent in the village’s “creative ecosystem.” Their newest album, “Safe Until Tomorrow,” reflects this mentality as well.

In addition to playing songs from their latest album as well as some all-time favorites, Pete will also read some short excerpts from his new book, “Tone, Twang and Taste: A Guitar Memoir.”

The suggested donation for concert entry is $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. Tickets are available in advance by clicking here. To make a reservation, click here or leave a message at (845) 528-7280.
